Nicholas DeNichilo ’73, M.S. ’78 marveled as a child at the construction equipment that brought buildings, bridges and highways to life before his eyes. Decades later, he still feels that magic. Comments such as “green energy is so exciting” regularly punctuate conversations about his daily work.

As the president and CEO of engineering giant Mott MacDonald, North America, DeNichilo now takes on transportation, water and energy infrastructure projects made vastly more complex by resiliency problems such as climate change and earthquakes.

NJIT’s inaugural inductees into its new Colton Society represent an array of disciplines, including engineering, architecture, finance, education and technology. Each, however, shares something remarkable in common: lifetime contributions to the university that exceed half a million dollars.

ROI-NJ, a publication that reports on New Jersey economic news, released its annual ROI Influencers Power List profiling the most powerful people in various industries in New Jersey. Featured on this year’s list are six NJIT leaders representing four industry areas: education, technology, healthcare and executive leadership. 

New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) announces the appointment of three new members to its Board of Trustees, all of whom have graduated from the university.

Joining the Board of Trustees are Richard M. "Rich" Maser '73, Norma J. Clayton '81 and Jim Stamatis '85. In addition to the numerous professional awards each of the appointees have received over their prolific careers, all three hold the distinction of being presented NJIT’s Outstanding Alumni Achievement Award.
