In today’s world, technology is both indispensable and inescapable. Just about every facet of our society is changing rapidly due to technological innovation. Whether in healthcare or communication or finance or transportation or any other market sector, all major business enterprises are, at their core, technology companies. Today, every company is a technology company.

In response to the extreme challenges to clinical capacity posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, three New Jersey institutions – New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), University Hospital in Newark and The Tuchman Foundation – are collaborating in a unique partnership on the development of modular, mobile medical care facilities to be deployed to areas of surging disease outbreaks and other disasters, as well as to regions that lack health care infrastructure.

The America East Conference and New Jersey Institute of Technology announced that the Highlanders will become the 10th full member institution of the America East, effective for the 2020-21 academic year. 

NJIT will officially join the league July 1, 2020. 

NJIT has appointed Dale A. McLeod as its new vice president for human resources. McLeod will join the university effective March 16 with the dual mission of delivering a world-class human resources function with a strong service orientation for faculty and staff, and supporting the objectives of the university’s new strategic plan, Building on a Strong Foundation–NJIT 2025.

ROI-NJ, a publication that reports on New Jersey economic news, released its annual ROI Influencers Power List profiling the most powerful people in various industries in New Jersey. Featured on this year’s list are six NJIT leaders representing four industry areas: education, technology, healthcare and executive leadership.
