New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) has earned the top spot for student return on investment among all public universities in the state, according to Degree Choices.

Degree Choices evaluated more than 2,200 four-year colleges and universities using a methodology based around two main parameters: how educational costs measure up to the additional earnings a student can expect to make because of their degree, and how this earning potential compares to that student’s peers.

Dear Highlanders,

Happy New Year! I hope you had an enjoyable winter break and holiday season.  Before we become immersed in the new semester, I want to provide additional information on the process to evolve the current strategic plan, NJIT 2025.

Dear Highlanders,

I write today to inform you of a transition within the Office of Human Resources. Vice President Dale McLeod will be leaving NJIT as of February 24, 2023 to become Chief People Officer at Blue Meridian Partners, a pioneering and rapidly growing philanthropic organization with more than $3 billion in assets that identifies and funds scalable solutions to the problems that limit economic and social mobility for America’s young people and families in poverty.

Moody’s Investor Service has reaffirmed the financial outlook of New Jersey Institute of Technology, reflecting NJIT’s “very good brand and strategic positioning.”

Moody’s rated NJIT’s credit profile as “A1 stable” and cited favorable student demand, growing wealth and diverse mix of revenue sources as support for the institution’s credit quality.

New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) will receive more than $1 million for new initiatives that will bolster engineering education, as well as manufacturing and mechatronics apprenticeship training, under the federal spending bill signed by President Joe Biden.

The $1.7 trillion spending package carves out $1.3 million for the two new NJIT initiatives. The community college pre-engineering network initiative will develop community college-serving programs to strengthen the pathway and readiness for traditionally underserved students to pursue a STEM degree.
