Business leaders Adam Broder and Adam Shain have joined the Board of Trustees of New Jersey Institute of Technology.

Broder and Shain, who were appointed by N.J. Gov. Phil Murphy, bring extensive expertise in launching and growing businesses in financial services and health care, respectively.

“Our new trustees deepen and strengthen our ties to the business world and bring valuable insights and experiences that will help us on our journey to become an even more prolific nexus of innovation,” NJIT President Teik C. Lim said.

Four of the Highlanders made the top 50 list: Trustee Elisa Charters; Michele Siekerka and Debbie Hart, who both serve on the Board of Directors of NJIT’s New Jersey Innovation Institute; and Becky Button, who serves on the Advisory Board of NJIT’s Hillier College of Architecture and Design.

Robert Cohen, president of Digital, Robotics, and Enabling Technology at Stryker, and a distinguished alumnus of New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), has been elected to the prestigious National Academy of Engineering (NAE). This honor, one of the highest professional distinctions in engineering, recognizes Cohen's outstanding contributions to orthopedic surgical procedures and devices, and his leadership in additive manufacturing and biomaterials.

Fifteen Highlanders from New Jersey Institute of Technology are featured in ROI-NJ’s annual lists of the most powerful individuals in New Jersey.

Five of the honorees made the publication’s Super 75 list: President Teik C. Lim; Trustee Gary Dahms; Hispanic Latinx Leadership Council member Luis De La Hoz; and two members of the Board of Directors of NJIT’s New Jersey Innovation Institute: Michele Siekerka and Wesley Mathews.
