New Jersey Institute of Technology’s annual Celebration fundraiser will take place on Friday, November 7, 2025 at The Grove in Cedar Grove, NJ, and will recognize four outstanding honorees. A festive evening of dinner, dancing and awards that draws hundreds of alumni, business leaders and friends in support of student scholarships, Celebration was established in 1995 as a black-tie gala to benefit the Albert Dorman Honors College. Celebration has since expanded to support all six of NJIT’s colleges.

Dear Highlanders,

NJIT is proud to celebrate Juneteenth (which the university is observing on Friday, June 20). This federal and state holiday commemorates the official end of slavery in the United States, which occurred on June 19, 1865, when Union General Gordon Granger brought news to Galveston, Texas, that enslaved Black people were free.

Dear Highlanders and Friends,

This weekend, as many of us gather with family and friends to observe the Memorial Day holiday, let us take time to remember and honor those who sacrificed their lives while serving in the United States military.

Jordan Hu ’89, CEO of RiskVal Financial Solutions, and a distinguished alumnus of New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), has been named the 2025 New Jersey winner of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award. The honor celebrates entrepreneurs who are building and leading high-growth, innovative companies that are transforming industries and creating positive impact.

New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) has appointed Stephen F. Kenney as interim senior vice president for finance and chief financial officer.

Kenney brings more than 25 years of executive financial leadership experience in higher education, health care and international development. He is a certified public accountant, chartered global management accountant and an MBA graduate with a track record of transforming organizational finances through strategic planning, operational efficiency and team development.

Following a highly competitive national search, New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) has announced the selection of Alan J. Kelly, CFRE, as the university’s next Vice President for Development and Alumni Relations. Kelly will join NJIT on July 14, 2025. NJIT sought an experienced leader who will direct efforts to further develop a strong culture of philanthropy that will support the university’s rapid ascent to prominence and the ambitious goals outlined in NJIT’s 2030 Strategic Plan.
