New Jersey Institute of Technology is the second-highest ranked public university in the Wall Street Journal/College Pulse 2024 list of the Best Colleges in the U.S.

At No. 19 nationally, NJIT is second only to the University of Florida among public universities nationally and to Princeton University among colleges and universities in New Jersey.

New Jersey Institute of Technology once again finds itself in selective company in The Princeton Review’s annual guide to the best colleges and universities in the United States.

Just 14% of all of the country’s four-year institutions made the guide, “The Best 389 Colleges for 2024.” Selection is based primarily on the experiences of students — which are culled through surveys — and the featured schools are listed alphabetically.

Dear Highlanders,

NJIT is proud to observe Juneteenth, a federal and state holiday that commemorates the day (June 19, 1865) when Union General Gordon Granger arrived in Galveston, Texas, and declared that enslaved Black people in Texas were free, which officially ended slavery in the United States more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. This historic occasion should serve as a poignant reminder that the pursuit of equity for all does not come easily or swiftly, in many cases, and must continue.

Dear Highlanders,

Today begins Pride Month throughout the United States and across much of the globe. This is a time during which we intentionally reflect on and celebrate the impact and achievements of the LGBTQ+ community, both on campus and around the world. It also is a time to advocate for the elimination of injustices and inequalities that remain today.
