Nicole Campos, a freshman in the Albert Dorman Honors College pursuing a Bachelor of Architecture at Hillier College, started on her path to NJIT even before she got to high school. Her interest in architecture started when she was a kid through a curiosity of meticulous exploration in every house she entered. When it came to choosing a high school, she applied to the closest high school with specialized programs like engineering.

Undergrads Suzanne Hlinka ’21 and Nada Boules ‘21 have been applying the skills in game development and interior design that they’ve picked up at NJIT, and Mother Earth is thanking them for it. This past year, the pair of students began artistic projects promoting a more sustainable planet, and now, their creative talents have been recognized with the “Jim Wise Scholarship for Theatre: Communicating the Environment Through Art.”

Hillier College is the new home to NJIT’s latest research center – the Center for Community Systems. Under the direction of Dr. Colette Santasieri, the mission of the Center for Community Systems (CCS) is to be a resource and conduit for creating thriving, sustainable, and resilient communities.

This International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineering symposium is for architects, engineers, urban planners and future focused students no matter your discipline. The line of inquiry is relevant to all; are changes in practice moving faster than changes in industry and how do we adapt?
