More than 3,300 students and alumni filled the Joel & Diane Bloom Wellness and Events Center and Naimoli Tennis Center on Sept. 17 for NJIT’s Fall 2025 Career Fair, one of the largest STEM-focused career fairs in the region. Nearly 240 organizations — spanning engineering, computing, architecture, life sciences, management and public service — were on hand to recruit for internships, co-ops, and entry-level roles.
New Jersey Institute of Technology is introducing a new service for students seeking jobs, internships and cooperative education experiences: a self-serve kiosk that takes professional headshots.
The kiosk, known as Popcam, enables students to take multiple images in less than a minute before picking their favorite. Then they can customize the background and get the final image online.

The closet, on the fourth floor of the Campus Center, also offers seasonal and casual clothes for campus residents and commuters. It’s connected to a revamped Food Pantry that has everything from canned and boxed foods to produce and toiletries.

Career Development Services biannual career fair has become one of the most anticipated events for students. The fall semester fair, held last September, was the largest-ever participation: 3,300 students and alumni and 240 companies packed into the WEC and Naimoli Center. The spring fair, now scheduled for March 4 from 11 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., is shaping up to be another packed house.
A record number of students and alumni attended New Jersey Institute of Technology’s latest Career Fair — 3,300 — with some 240 companies looking to fill more than 1,000 jobs, internships and cooperative education experiences.
The macro numbers were impressive — for the third straight fair — but it was smaller moments that students appreciated most, such as the opportunity to talk one-on-one with representatives of companies such as Johnson & Johnson, Merck, Mars and Campbell Soup.

Among public schools, The Princeton Review ranked NJIT No. 11 on its list of the Top 20 for Best Career Placement and No. 35 on its list of the Top 50 Best Value Colleges.

Taking a page out of the logistics-improvement playbook of participating companies like UPS, Johnson & Johnson, Raytheon and others, CDS implemented changes to improve candidate and employer efficiency and experience.
NJIT's Entrepreneur Society hosts an annual startup job fair, providing students with the opportunity to pursue careers and meet directly with the founders of new local companies.
Hundreds of students attend, many looking for the perfect match, while others were there to network or learn about the startup experience from the dozens of companies present.
Aravindakshan Sarma, studying for an M.S. in information systems, said he's looking for a full-time job and prefers working at a startup rather than a large company.
