To help career-driven professionals navigate and succeed in today's rapidly evolving landscape, the Learning and Development Initiative (LDI), a pioneering collaboration between New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) and New Jersey Innovation Institute (NJII), today announced its launch of new online programs in partnership with Ziplines Education, an industry-leading education company.

NJIT men's swimming and diving incoming freshman Ilias El Fallaki will represent Morocco at the upcoming 2024 Summer Olympic Games.

El Fallaki, who will attend NJIT this fall in the Martin Tuchman School of Management, will compete in the men's 400m freestyle Saturday, July 27.

Hailing from Seville, Spain, El Fallaki made his international debut competing at the World Junior Championships in September 2023 in Israel and World Aquatic Championships in February 2024, where he set the Moroccan national record in 800m freestyle.

New Jersey Institute of Technology continues to be recognized nationally by U.S. News & World Report for its online master’s offerings in information technology, engineering and business.

For 2024, NJIT earned two rankings inside the top 100: No. 31 for its online master’s in information technology and No. 61 for its online master’s in engineering. In addition, the university saw two other online programs make lists for the best in the U.S.: its master’s in business and its MBA.

New Jersey Institute of Technology is now ranked in the top 50 nationwide for both graduate and undergraduate entrepreneurship education, according to a joint survey from Princeton Review and Entrepreneur.

Surveyors ranked NJIT No. 31 in the graduate category, as the only New Jersey institution on the list, and No. 47 in undergraduate studies, from almost 300 universities that reported entrepreneurship data.

NJIT's Entrepreneur Society hosts an annual startup job fair, providing students with the opportunity to pursue careers and meet directly with the founders of new local companies.

Hundreds of students attend, many looking for the perfect match, while others were there to network or learn about the startup experience from the dozens of companies present.

Aravindakshan Sarma, studying for an M.S. in information systems, said he's looking for a full-time job and prefers working at a startup rather than a large company.

NJIT fifth-year women's fencer Marina Arrese has been named as a First-Team selection on the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-America Women's At-Large Team, the organization announced on Wednesday.

Arrese, a two-time CoSIDA Academic All-America and All-District selectee, earned All-America first-team recognition in 2022 and was selected to the second team in 2021.

Charis Hwang packed a lot into her four years studying business at New Jersey Institute of Technology, including three internships and a cooperative educational experience.

That thick undergraduate resumé may explain why even before completing an accelerated master’s program, she landed a job with global consulting firm PwC. In fact, her last internship, during the summer of 2021, was at PwC, where she found a calling.
