New Jersey Institute of Technology is now ranked in the top 50 nationwide for both graduate and undergraduate entrepreneurship education, according to a joint survey from Princeton Review and Entrepreneur.
Surveyors ranked NJIT No. 31 in the graduate category, as the only New Jersey institution on the list, and No. 47 in undergraduate studies, from almost 300 universities that reported entrepreneurship data.
The 60-question survey included questions on: the percentage of faculty, students and alumni actively and successfully involved in entrepreneurial endeavors; the number and reach of mentorship programs; scholarships and grants for entrepreneurial studies; and the level of support for school-sponsored business plan competitions,” the two publications stated.
“NJIT's ranking among the top 50 for entrepreneurship reflects our focus on cultivating an entrepreneurial mindset, essential for long-term success in business innovation,” said Oya Tukel, dean of the university’s Martin Tuchman School of Management. The school has a recently reorganized Masters in Business Administration which is also highly ranked nationwide. There are also entrepreneurship studies through a bachelor’s degree and minor.
